Micallef Cigars is expanding its Leyenda blend, which has been around for 89 years. Now available in a 6 x 52 Toro ($11.50) and 5 x 52 Robusto ($10.50), the Leyenda blend features an Ecuadorian wrapper, Nicaraguan binder and filler from Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic and Honduras. The new blends come in 25-count boxes and are shipping now.
“Micallef Ambassadors improve our understanding of what the consumer market seeks through constant dialogue,” Dan Thompson, president of Micallef Cigars, said in a press release. “Beginning in 2019, we invested deeper in our factory, specifically on tobacco acquisition and fermentation, to enable production levels of one million cigars annually. Greater volume, coupled with elegant but simpler packaging, allows us to bring this fantastic smoke to our consumers at a price more akin to a daily smoke.”
